Help us update Yesterday’s Elongateds
First published in 1981, Yesterday’s Elongateds by Lee Martin and Dottie Dow is the indispensable reference book for anyone who is serious about collecting “the oldies,” i.e., elongated coins rolled from 1893 to 1965.
The Elongated Collectors (TEC) has twice republished the book to include “unlisted” elongated coins missing from previous editions.
We are in the midst of another revision and need your help. If you have high-quality photographs of any of the elongated coins below, please email the photos to editor@tecnews.org.
Unsure of how to take good photos of coins? See Dan Sileo’s tips in the May issue of TEC News. Or see the internet, which has no shortage of advice for experts and beginners. The Artemis Collection’s Coin Photography on a Budget is a good place to start.
Want to share your own tips and photos of your setup for photographing elongated coins? Email them to editor@tecnews.org and we may include them on this site.
Thanks!
